| 10/31/08-11/1/08 We Bashed on Friday! We Mashed on Saturday! Then we Crashed on Sunday! The Eagles on Friday was a Madhouse! There were slashers, dancers, pirates and flashers. Drinkers with blinkers, nickers and cheap tricksters, hardware and crazy underwear. I believe we seen it all including a guy from Mars with a head in a jar! The biggest treat of the night was a special guest appearance by our good friends "Trick Lounge", featuring Trick Neilson on guitar, Rokin Bander on bass and Pun E. Carlos on drums! They rocked through a very cool mini Cheap Trick concert! Hello there Ladies and Gentlemen! Top this all off with an awesome costume contest and a rousing last set, and you've got yourself one hell of Halloween Party! But wait-there's more! On Saturday, the typically mild mannered Amvets on 4th Street in Mansfield came out of their shell and into costumes! After a dinner of ribs and bibs, it was time for an Atomically Enhanced night of rock and roll! Clowns with frowns (what?), creepers that gave us jeepers, and the revel of little devils prevailed as they all danced around the Amvets. It looked like a scene out of Mardi Gras! But later in the evening with the night ending quietly-the last notes were ringing, the fog was rolling away, I swear we could hear the pitter patter of a jesters little feet, tip toeing into the night...Chucky? Is that you? Booga Booga! 8/16/08 Well, I'd have to say that some of our experiences at Strohms Saturday night left us, for the most part, speechless. 'Em folks is crazy. What an awesome crowd that were truly having a great time with a few becoming enthusiastically inspired to dance with one another as we've never seen before...We had a group of ready to party women who showed up early and stayed late and party they did! Strohms is typically a slow start with a strong finish, but not tonight! Many of our good friends were in attendance and we appreciate the support! And with the last Hey Ho echoing into the night, the "OY" sign quietly tucked away after a job well done, we all went out and smoked. It was that good... 8/9/08 We rocked out The Den on Friday with a special guest appearance by Mr. Jon Gray! Always nice to have him sitting in on vocals. We also had a surprise visitor on drums, you'll have check out our Den 2008 MySpace album to see who! And then Saturday took us to our beloved Shelby Eagles. We love them, they love us, it's a good arrangement. It was a very fun evening with more of our musical comrades joining us onstage. Our good friend Jeff from the Castle band helped us out quite a bit on backing and lead vocals and also Des Donnenwirth of Rock Bottom making a rare appearance, jumping in on Rock And Roll All Night while that strange fellow from Friday night again sat in on the drums...The Shelby Eagles crowd are always a blast and this time was certainly no different! We'll see you at The Eagles for the Official Rock Bottom Reunion show! September 20th! 7/12/08 Bicycle Days Madness In Shelby! I think the best describing word for what went down at Strohms Cafe in Shelby last night is madness! A very full house from the beginning, and they were ready to get jiggy 'wit it! And get jiggy they did! We had a great time from start to finish. We appreciate the many long time Atomic Lounge supporters who made it out! We had a few special guests along the way, Mr. Jon Gray and Des Donnenwirth. A veritable preview of the Rock Bottom reunion! By the last set of the night, they were packed in there like it was free beer night! Strohms was hot, we were sweaty, the crowd was happy. We sent everyone home with their ears ringing of Bon Scott, Hey Ho's, and some Sugar Sugar to boot. It was a great night and a great weekend! 7/11/08 Lyman Harbor With 38 Special What a great booking this turned out to be! We are fortunate enough to be involved with Thunder Mountain Productions, and they have given both Atomic Lounge and The Jon Gray Band a couple of great opportunites. Thanks Jeff and Shannon! We arrived early in the day and as quickly as we arrived, it seemed it was time to play! We had a great show with many, many people from Mansfield and the surrounding areas making the trip north to see the band. We really appreciate the support! Everybody was great to us and it made for an awesome day. Lyman Harbor is an awesome place to see a show if you ever get the chance. As was proven by 38 Special, they came out and rocked the house! They were awesome! Look for more shows with and from Thunder Mountain in the future! 6/13-6/14/08 A very busy weekend for the Atomic Lads! We made the journey to Sandusky on Friday to play at Lyman Harbor near Cedar Point. The good folks at Thunder Mountain productions (thanks Shannon and Jeff!) secured us an opening spot for "The Dave Matthews Tribute Band". It was a blast! We unfortunately had to move things inside because of rain, but it was still a great time and we were very well taken care of by Thunder Mountain. They Rock! We hung around for DMTB, and they were great. Saturday brought us to the inaugural RockStock in Mifflin. What an awesome venue! Bill Mellick did an awesome job of putting RockStock together, everything went smooth. Although attendance was a bit low in the beginning, once darkness began to fall, more RockStockers made their way in. Certainly a great time was had by all! 5/23/08 The Den delivers! And I'm not talking about pizza! We love the Den. It's a great time every time! Despite the holiday weekend, we had a really fun crowd with a few special guests coming to visit. Dave Weeks of Shineviolet and Scott Caine (how was the movie?) of The Red Ball Jets were both in attendance (hopefully we can get them up to jam next time!). We really appreciate the support of the Den crowd who keep coming back, and our own Bombshells and Lounge Lizards who are making long trips to see the band! The Atomic Lounge band has many musical surprises planned for the future. It's gonna get nutty! 5/12/08 ROCKSTOCK is coming June 14th! Click here for info! 4/18-19/08 A busy weekend for the Atomic Lads! We had an awesome night at The Den on Friday, which featured a special guest appearance by the one and only Jon Gray for our third set. A big thanks to The Den for their continued support of live music and Atomic Lounge! Saturday brought us to the 6th Annual Red Ball Jets Spring Bash! Certainly a great time was has by all. 2POV Crew opened up the show with their own brand of rock and roll, mixing originals and covers. And of course The Jets brought their over the top craziness, working the crowd into a heated fever! We really appreciate The Jets asking us out to do the Bash. Jermie Allen and Scott Caine were instrumental in making sure the bands had everything they needed. Lots of cool stuff coming up for the Atomic Lounge band including a large outdoor show that features Back On Earth, Trust, Aesthesia, Atomic Lounge and we've secured an opening spot for "The Dave Matthews Tribute Band" at Lyman Harbor in June (thanks to Shannon at Thunder Mountain Productions!). 4/12/08 Our first anniversary shin-dig was a blast! It was nearly one year exactly since our debut at Strohms in Shelby. It's been an amazing year for the band. We have learned a plethora of new material with more on the way, our crowds have consistantly gotten bigger, and we're fortunate to be involved in some big shows coming up soon. Although the three of us have played together for most of the last nine years, it never grows tired. It's a combination that really works. For me, it's been not only an honor, but a priviledge to play music with Larry and Sean. We look forward to many more great nights of rock and roll! Atomic style! Also celebrating Saturday was Donna and sister Denise! Happy Birthday! Kudos to Strohms for supporting not only the many bands that we've been in, but live music in general. 3/15/08 The St. Patty’s Day Bash was a blast! Lot’s of folks celebrating the holiday in good cheer! A few highlights of the evening included an exteneded guest appearance by Jon Gray as well as Mr. Tim Opie jumping in on one of the encore’s. Many thanks to all who made the trip and stayed for the fun! 3/4/08 Expectations are a funny thing when you're in a band. Depending on where you're playing, the expectation can vary from date to date. This is also very true when playing somewhere new. This was our first booking at the Amvets in Mansfield, and honestly, we didn't know what to expect. Private clubs typically have their own vibe and we were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed with open arms! (After a short courtship, of course...) We really had a great time as did the Amvets crowd. They pretty much stayed with us all night. Also, a big thanks Deano for getting us this booking in the first place. We will be back to the Amvets. But not until December! And that's a long time away... 2/23/08 There's no place like Strohms! We had an awesome evening hanging out with our friends in Shelby! We want to thank everyone that came out to hear the band. This booking was definately a warm up for our big St. Patty's Day Party show at Strohms on March 15th! Which also happens to be the birthday of your loyal beertender Donna! Which will then be the segway to out 1st Anniversary shin-dig also at Strohms! You won't want to miss either one of these shows! Lot's of cool stuff planned... 2/15/08 Icaramba! What an awesome night at The Den! The Lounge Lizards and Bombshells were out in full force! The place was SRO and everyone had a blast. We weren't aware of this policy, but apparently clothing is optional at The Den, fortunately deodorant is required. We had a few special guests helping us out onstage including our good friend Hugo and Jeremy from the Red Ball Jets (Hey Ho! Let's Go!). We appreciate all of our band brethren who came out to hang with us! Like some things in life, it was so much fun, we're going to it again, and again. April 4th! Come get your Rock And Roll Butt Spanked! Check out the pics here! 1/25/08 We had a blast at our first show at Mike's Pizza in Lexington! A mighty thanks to our "Lounge Lizards" and "Bombshells" alike for coming out to support us! Our good friend John from the Fat Daddy's Blues Band not only single handedly got us this booking, but also did an awesome job on sound for us as well. Thanks John! The folks at Mike's Pizza were very happy with us as well, we hope to be back in the coming months. Keep your eyes peeled for a new date at Mike's! 1/20/08 For Those Who Came To Rock... We salute you! When you're in a band, bookings are like sex. It's always fun, but sometimes, it's awesome. Saturday at Strohms? Awesome! We've played in Strohms many times over the years in several different groups, and Saturday was without doubt one of the most fun bookings we've had there! Lots of new smilin' faces and everyone more than ready for their Rock And Roll Butt Spankin'! It was a blast! Thanks for the good time! Check out the cool pics on our page with more on the Strohms page! 1/2/08 More NYE pics added! Click here! 12/31/07 New Years Eve at The Den was in every way, a Rock and Roll party! The place was standing room only from the get-go. Everyone had a great time bringing in the New Year, celebrating with friends, family, and drinks of course... We appreciate all that have supported the band in 2007 and we look forward to bringing you lots of great Rock and Roll in 2008. An "Atomic" salute to Giddy-Up Dave from The Den for having us out on NYE, he is the original party animal! Sounds like you'll have frequent opportunities to see us at The Den in 2008. Gino (Where's my tie?) did an awsome job on sound for us. Hey-Ho! Gino! And the icing on the cake was Mr. Jon Gray showing up for our last set to croon some tunes! Click here for pics! Until next time, America... 12/08/07 Although we were challenged again by the weather, our night at Strohms in Shelby was a blast! Our friends Wildcard were playing nearby and came to join us once they were finished. Bringing along many of their crowd, our last set was jammin', climaxing with the one and only Tim Opie coming onstage to help us do a rousing version of She Hates Me, working the crowd into a ferver as only he can! Look for Tim on our "Special Guests" page soon! Thanks to all the folks who braved the weather to come see us! We'll be back at Strohms on January 19th! 12/1/07 The Weather Outside Was Frightful... But The Den was still delightful! Despite the weather, we had a pretty good crowd with a midnight push that got The Den hoppin'! Many thanks to all who braved the weather to come and hear the band, we appreciate your support! We'll be back to The Den on New Years Eve! Hope to see you there! 11/03/07 Our night at The Den was nothing short of fantastic! We really appreciate all who came out and hung with the band! We had a fun crowd and everbody had a great time! We will be back at The Den on December 1st, as well as New Years Eve! Check out some new pics on our MySpace page and our "Girls Gone Atomic" page! 10/29/07 In addition to our MySpace Halloween pictures here, there are additional pictures here on our website! Check them out! 10/27/07 We always, without fail, have a great time at The Eagles in Shelby. And Saturday was no exception! We pretty much had a packed house from the get-go with many folks in costume! And the cool thing is, everyone stuck around all night, and helped by participating in the best costume contest. We did a rousing third set with Mr. Jon Gray who is fresh out of retirement, and our own last set brought the house down! An Atomic style salute to all that came and rocked the house with us on Saturday. Visit our MySpace page here for some photos from the Halloween Bash, there will be more on our website in a few days. We'll be back to The Eagles soon! Hi Kim! 10/14/07 Cowabunga! Great night at Strohms in Shelby! Despite some technical difficulties and a very under the weather drummer, we had fantastic evening! Excitable crowd form start to finish. Our friend Bill Opie from Blackout stopped in and helped us out on a rousing version of Wonderful Tonight, sung in true "Wildcard" fashion, don't ya' know... Of course, Dickey Doodle was abound, and flowing freely! Melissa and Tammie from Hagatha's Bluff also made an appearance, we're hoping to get them up at The Eagles in a few weeks! Many thanks to our Lounge Lizard support group for supporting the band! 10/05/07 A great weekend for the Atomic Lads! We were at The Den on Friday, had a very cool evening with many friends in attendance! Tommy Allen from Heartbroke sat in on a few songs, it was cool to have him up! Saturday took us over to the Shelby Eagles. We got off to a quiet start, but had a rousing finish! Another guest to join us onstage was Jeff Beal from the Castle band. What an awesome singer! A very fun night in the end and many thanks to all who supported us over the weekend. The Eagles has asked us to come back to do a Halloween Party on October 27th. We're going to have a best costume contest along with some to be announced prizes! Come on out! 9/07/07-9/08/07 The Den was a' rockin' and lots of folks came a' knockin'! Two great days of rock and roll at The Den in Mansfield! A great crowd both nights and many musicians from our local music scene came to hang out and do some jamming! Rick Gardner of Streetfoxx did an awesome job on sound for us! The icing on the cake was a surprise visit by Jimi Hammonds! We invited both onto the stage to do a few tunes. Jimi is nothing short of awesome and Rick is one hell of a bass player! Some other musical brethern in attendance included Frank medley of Getaway, Deano Krance of Fat Daddy's Blues Band, John-new bass player with Aesthesia, the and only Hugo, members of Shineviolet and 446 (Larry Cradle rocked out Mustang Sally with us!). And if that wasn't enough, our beloved Jon Gray showed up to sing some songs! Clap hands for the song man! We did a rousing set of Rock Bottom tunes! It was great to have him onstage with us again! All in all an awesomw weekend! Many thanks to all the musicains, our "Lounge Lizard" following, and The Den crowd for coming out to rock with us! 8/29/07 After a tough week for our good friends in Shelby, we came into Strohms to help give a little relief for the weary citizens! The Strohms crew wasted no time getting the place back in order and were ready for business by Saturday. Strohms has always supported live music, and we appreciate their dedication! We've played there for years in previous bands, and without doubt, the place and the people love music! 8/18/07 It was a Rock And Roll party at The Den! We had a great crowd, just brimming with enthusiasm. Yes, I said brimming! A crisp Atomic salute to everyone who came out, had fun, cut a rug, and got ja little crazier than they normally do! We were fortunate to have many old friends at the shin-dig (thanks Kevin and Amy for the overwhelming support and help!), and we recruited some new peeps into our Atomic Army of Lounge Lizards!! Check out our Gigs page for the latest bookings! 2/01/07 Well-as the old saying goes-everything happens for a reason. So with that in mind, here we are in another band together!
